so yesterday i was at this dinner with a bunch of people i didn’t really know.
like not total strangers… but close enough.

anyway.

there was rice, there were fries, there were conversations about random things like curtains and social media and love languages.
and then suddenly — this girl walks out with a literal birthday cake.

not like a casual cake.
a C-A-K-E.
fondant. ribbon. golden numbers on top. she did a whole photoshoot with it (as she should).

and then? she took it back into the kitchen.
like girl… where is that going????

i sat there. nervously. silently mourning a cake i hadn’t even met yet.

but plot twist:
she brought it back out for everyone to share.
and it was actually good. like really good. like “i forgave her immediately” good.

later she showed us all the flowers her boyfriend (who is currently on house arrest btw) sent her.
and not just one bouquet. like… many.
as in florals exploding out of every vase and jar and pot in her apartment.

so yeah.
first blog post: done.
birthday cake was eaten.
love is complicated.
and you never know when your dinner’s gonna turn into a whole story.

logging off, with a spoonful of nutella and no regrets.
